Puzzle Bobble

About Puzzle Bobble

Puzzle Bobble is an arcade puzzle game in which you join Bub and Bob in clearing levels by shooting bubbles and forming groups of three or more of the same colour. Can you clear all the bubbles on the screen?

How to Play Puzzle Bobble

Aim to aim. Adjust aim before shooting. Your mission is to build groups of at least three bubbles of the same colour. When three or more bubbles of the same colour connect, they disappear from the screen.
Big combinations let you remove several bubbles at the same time, so you can go through tough stages a lot quicker.
Before shooting, look carefully at the present bubble arrangement and evaluate where your shot will land. Don't just go for the simplest target; think about if your shot could make a bigger combo.

Find regions where several bubbles of the same colour are grouped. If you can connect your current bubble to that group, you can clear a big section at once.

You may also use the walls to modify the angle of your shot. Bubbles bounce off the play area edges, letting you get to places you can’t strike with a straight shot.
Also, the bubbles will drift down slowly. The game finishes if the bubbles reach the bottom; they turn grey or black, and you can't make any further steps.

Best Tips to Play Puzzle Bobble

  • Plan Before You Shoot

Don’t shoot the following bubble as soon as it emerges. Take a second to look over the board and see where the shot can do the most damage. Planning will save you from hard bubble formations.

  • Prioritize Large Groups

If possible, look for opportunities to link numerous matching bubbles. Bigger combos pop more bubbles and get you through levels faster.

  • Use the Walls

Bouncing shots off the side walls is a crucial skill. If a straight shot is blocked, consider changing the angle so the bubble bounces back into the region you wish to hit.

  • Target Bubbles Help

Sometimes the largest group is not the best target. Look for bubbles holding up bigger clusters. Taking away these connecting bubbles might make entire areas slip away.

  • Think About the Next Bubble

Good Puzzle Bobble players don’t only look at the bubble in the shooter. If you know what colour is coming next, try to set up the board so that your next shot has a useful destination.

  • Avoid Unnecessary Shots

Every shot can modify the shape of the board. Random firing may produce strange formations that are hard to clear later. If no immediate combination exists, select a safe stance to preserve future alternatives.

  • Use Chain Reactions

When you find a group suspended under another part, examine whether eliminating the supporting bubbles will cause the top bubbles to fall. Chain reactions can clear enormous regions with one well-planned shot.
